Our Family Visit to Maine.

Well, we all went up to Maine this last September and visited my Mom and Dad. It was great to see their new ministry and their new home. God has blessed them greatly. It is great to see them happily serving the Lord. Very encouraging.
This picture is taken on the coast. It was my kids 1st time to ever see the ocean. I'm not too sure that they understand the vastness of the ocean even now. We only were able to stop at a small cove and it looked more like a big lake then anything. Oh well. Next time we'll get them out on the beach.

The September Wedding

Here are some pictures of the wedding that officiated this last September.
Aaron and Stormy Cartwright.
Their wedding was in Evergreen, CO and it was beautiful.
May God truly bless you as you have begun the most precious and exciting of journeys. It is my prayer that you hold each other close as you face this world. Don't let anyone tell you what you ought to be. That's God's job. Look to Him as you daily walk hand-in-hand.

Happy Fall to you all.

Hey everyone. I just wanted to drop in and share what's going on with us these days. We have decided to chuck it all and move to New Zealand, in January.
I'm just kidding. Whew! I just got like 15 emails saying, "What, you guys are moving out of the country? Why are we always the last to hear this kind of stuff?"

He he. We are not going anywhere currently. Man, the look on your faces was priceless.
It's been a kind of weird Fall though. Maybe I'm alone in this, but have you ever asked the question, "What's the point of what I do for work?" I don't mean to be negative, but that has been going through my head the last couple of months. I have been reading in the Book of Ecclesiastes, and I have realized that even working "in the ministry" all that we do is vanity. So often we think that we are doing some great service to Christendom at large, and we are really just stroking our own ego, inflaiting ourselves about how great we are and how much God needs us in order to maintain His work... yada, yada, yada. When in reality we just want everyone to think that we are great. We don't think about who we ought to be pleasing, GOD! For me it has been a very introspective last few months, and my views on "church" are changing in ways that I'm not sure that I even understand.

Well, enough of my ramblings. Here are some pictures of our recent excursions.

This is William and Justin getting ready to head to school.

Here is our new cat, CrazyEyes. Our old cat, Twitchy, is not to happy about this development.

Here we are on William's field trip to the pumpkin patch. Yeah, that was fun.

Here's Ethan with Crazy Eyes.

And lastly, here's our newest family picture.
Talk you all later.

Ok. Last Post of the Day.

Last weekend the local Harley shop had Thunder Mountain Custom Cycles bring their demo bikes. Oh Yeah! It was very sweet. 103 ci of power. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to ride one of their bikes. Here's a few pics of a couple of friends and i while we were there.

Here's Dan on the Sterling.

Here's Bill on the Sterling also. (Needless to say they did not ride in the same run.)

Here's me on the Firestone
here's a better look at the bike that i rode.

Camp Stuff in July

We went to 2 camps in July. Which was a lot of fun, but very tiring. We took our Senior Highers to Lift Student Ministries in Arkansas. Which was great. they had each church build a tricycle for a spoof of "pimp my ride," and of course our trike won hands down. Here are some pictures of us building it.

What it was....

the evolution of a trike....

And now the painting phase.
"Mommy, who's that fat guy painting the frame?"

A little paint huffing never hurt anyone, kid, just check me out.

Ok. So now it's painted and ready to be assembled, which of course i didn't get any pictures of. So with no further delay.....

The finished product. I give you "Lowrider"

oh yeah! Go Braden Go!!!!!

Here's the whole camp crew.

I almost forgot. Our Junior High didn't really go for camp very well this year, but here is the crew that i took this year.

In June Stuff

On the 1st Sunday in June a couple of us from church played hooky and drove out to Cassoday, KS for a great breakfast and a great bike show. Here are a few of the high lights.

Here's a sweet Pan

Here's a nice looking Bagger

...a Baaaad Soft Tail

...an unbelievable Heritage

and, of course, a Sweet Sporty
There were tons of other great bikes there, about 5000 or so; but these were a few of my favorites.

Problems with the video stuff

For some stupid reason i can't get the video to link with our blog, so it might be a while until i can get these videos on here. Until then enjoy the pictures.

Motorcycle Events This Summer

Ok. You are going to have to bear with me for a little bit. I am going to go back to May. These are some pictures of the Thunder in the Smokey motorcycle rally in Marquette, Kansas.
Yup. There are some pretty sweet rides here.
